Fine night

39b65d75f1820123e8380bcdf6e10da9.jpgYou taught me not to watch the clock,

The time is not a burden now,

Its feet are light, but heavy are its hands,

Galloping rudely towards the dawn.

I want no end for this fine night,

Lit up stars and camp fire light?

I want no end for this fine night,

Who cares its minutes are finite?

The time is leaking down the clock,

It flows and shows no mercy

And we won’t patch it with stardust,

We won’t stop the leakage.

Spin and Spin Again, Carousel!

Carousel

Spin and spin again, carousel,
I am long familiar with your song…

It was a fairy-tale enticement
A boundless joy in pinkish haze,
You cast a lure smile so dearing
That touched my heart like solar rays…

Love pledges, kisses, oaths,
—Inebriated by hypnotic chords,—
Did we lie or did lie our words,
Did we sing or did sing the world?

Spin and spin again, carousel,
I am long familiar with your song…

Once there was a land, distant and anguished
Once it was gilded by sunshine and dreams,
Once it was smiling and shining its splendor,
But then it was gone, and languished the dreams.

Grief and torment and despair,
 — Did you cry or did the world cast tears?,—
Long shall it fade, a deceitful delusion,
The only delight of bygone years…

Spin and spin again, carousel,
I am long familiar with your song…

And there was a song, in that distant world,—
And you murmured old familiar words —
«I love you but you love me not»,
And you sang along word after word …

Our waltz has it all, «What’s gone is gone»,
Our moonlit pathway in forlorn alley,
Our boring story with night and kisses
And nothing new under the moon…

Spin and spin again, carousel,
I am long familiar with your song…

They whirl and spin and swirl at this fierce feast,
— Do you want to know the meaning of that tune,—
No end, no beginning, like a wheel of fortune,—
I am Past, You are Present, and One is Future…

Spin and spin again, carousel,
I am long familiar with your song…

Changing Sameness

Changing sameness

All’s changed and all’s the same. Again the sky is cloudy. Again this place is crowded. Again those young faces, filled with embarrassment. What do they know about adult life challenges? Nobody taught how, nobody taught when. When, my friend, have we seized to be a part of it? Why, my friend, are we supposed to leave? Still welcoming the gusts of fresh air, still not avoiding the rain, still burning our fingers with an icy mojito…

All’s the same but all’s changed. Never shall the sky be as blue as it was. Never shall the clouds recreate the pattern of that day. Never shall this place be crowded with us; with us and all our friends and the friends of friends. Never shall this place smell of us, be overwhelmed with us, overflow with us. It shall always lack us. Be deprived of us…

All has changed but all is the same. The game was postponed, the plans were cancelled. This place still retains the smell of us. You know? Fresh mint is in the air…

Inevitable- Changing Sameness

Today’s Daily Post’s promt was the word “Inevitable” and the infinite variety of associations it may bring up. For me, inevitable are the changes, the process of growing up and facing your new self. The more you resist it, the most persistent are the changes. So, the only reasonable response is to embrace them and live in harmony!

Gravity: Sunset, beach, a heap of stones

Published 08.02.2016 by asterinablog

I’m not particularly fond of stony beaches… They seem strange and surrealistic to me. Still, Batumi beach, Georgia, has an atmosphere of its own. You can spend hours building towers of stones, watching gravity and the power of water washing them away. And, as a variant, you can grab a pile of them home, as a memory of those precious days! (Special thanks to the photographer who took this incredible pic)

Time Spiral

Time Spiral

It goes around and around and around,

Takes you here and there, all round,

Takes you up to the moon, and back to the ground,

New places, then back again to background,

Then you look back to see what you found,

But once in a fury you burn every tie and bound,

You try to flee, but it’s faster than hound,

Oh, my, what hound? The speed of the sound…

But once you stop it fools you round,

It seems a lake, but it’s too profound,

Wanna dive in? And what if you drowned,

It only knows if you be hanged up or crowned!

Till death do us part

I’ll be by your side

My life and my time

Eternally intertwined!
